Some special items of interest for this year's Bee School are:

  1. This year we will have a Featured Speaker to kick off the classes.  Our speaker will be Mike Conner, of Honey Tree Nursery.  As an arborist who specializes trees specifically designed to be beneficial to pollinators, Mike is uniquely qualified to provide our attendees with information that is typically very hard to find.  We are VERY excited to have Mike come for our school this year!
  2. We will again take pre-orders for people to purchase their hive kit from Mann Lake (item # KD-100), to be delivered and picked up at the bee school.   Then the "Hive Body & Frame Building" class will help you put your own boxes and frames together on the spot.  We'll have tools and helpers available to help you get it done.  Mann Lake is making these available for us to sell at $100 each (more than 20% less than their catalog price).
The deadline for ordering the these hive kits is Fri, Sept 17.
  3. We will have a Live Bee Inspection and Smoker Lighting Demo area.  We have some bee suits available, but if you have your own, you might want to bring it with you.
  4. We have 2 different shirts available for purchase as PRE ORDER and pickup at the school (no extra shirts will be printed and sold at the school).  Both of these are available in men's & women's shirt styles as well as sizes for adults and youth.  Note that the shirt ordering is being handled separate from the school registration; questions should be directed to the "shirt coordinator", Denise Mann at magnoliaproduction@sbcglobal.net or 832-661-1345.
    1. We have a "school t-shirt" for attendees of the beeschool.  This is a t-shirt w/ club logo on front & special graphic for this year's school on the back.  The graphics are screen printed on.  This shirt may be ordered at the link: https://yourcustomswagstore.ecwid.com/BEE-SCHOOL-2021-c116696530
The deadline for ordering the "school shirts" is Wed, Sept 15.
    2. We have a "club shirt" for club members.  This is a nicer, "polo style dry-fit type" shirt with the club logo embroidered on to the front. This shirt may be ordered at the link:  https://yourcustomswagstore.ecwid.com/BVBKA-Bee-Club-c116689767
The deadline for ordering the "club shirts" is Fri, Sept 10.
